Investment Style
GSAM uses a “value plus” style that combines the value of qualitative research with the objectivity of a quantitative approach. GSAM has been managing the Elliott & Page American Growth Fund since April 1993.

Goldman Sachs applies a Computer Optimized Research Enhanced Equity Strategy for managing the Elliott & Page American Growth Fund and the Elliott & Page RSP American Growth Fund. This is a fully-invested strategy which seeks to add value from stock selection rather than industry rotation or market timing. Stocks are selected by using both a quantitative multifactor valuation model and the qualitative ratings of Goldman Sachs’ research professionals. Active risks are managed by comparing the portfolio’s industry weights and style characteristics to those of its benchmark, the S&P 500.
